Project Rosebush was born out of a concern for what is happening in Congress, in the Supreme Court, and in the 2024 election cycle. It is a response to the far right agenda for America and the candidates who will enact that agenda. Project Rosebush, however, is not focused solely on the other side, but speaks to the undecideds and to the vision of a just and free America that is inclusive, offers equality, choice and freedom.<\/p>\n

Project Rosebush is an opportunity to move from the sidelines into right action. Whether it\u2019s a micro action or a major contribution there will be inspiration, how-to\u2019s and downloads to help you get the job done. Project Rosebush offers a way to ignite a critical mass of public action and constructive discourse to protect democracy from the threat of a far right agenda.<\/p>\n

Project Rosebush is not about a single voice or movement. While we may not be able to find agreement on all the major issues, we can agree on the need for a massive shift in voter participation. It\u2019s clear that our basic rights are at risk. We can\u2019t move forward on any issue of importance, unless those basic rights are protected. We may lose decades of progressive movement if the far right\u2019s agenda is implemented. Here\u2019s the good news. In the story, Hester Prynne has been imprisoned for \u2018committing adultery\u2019, having sex with someone she was not married to, while the male involved is never caught. The rosebush has \u2018been kept alive in history\u2019 and \u2018sprung up from under the footsteps\u2019 of another powerful and influential woman of that time. The rosebush grows and blossoms outside of Hester\u2019s prison cell and represents her opposition to the brutal, puritanical views of that day and as a symbol of hope. The rosebush and its blossoms represent the strength the rosebush needed to survive in the harsh elements surrounding it.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s about offering resources to speak out, protest, & support the Democratic ticket of candidates and progressive legislation. It\u2019s about speaking to the ways the Democratic Party has become deaf to legitimate concerns of the right. It\u2019s about coming back to a big, broad center.<\/div>\n

It\u2019s about activating a deep cellular memory, an intuitive knowing, combined with thoughtful, meaningful actions to create an outcome we can live with well into the future.<\/div>\n
